// Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using threat.gg ("the Service"), including the website, API, dashboard, and honeypot agent software, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

// Description of Service

threat.gg provides a honeypot-as-a-service platform for threat intelligence. The Service includes: deployment and management of honeypot agents that emulate network services (SSH, HTTP, PostgreSQL, MySQL, FTP, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes API, LDAP, Telnet, SMB, and others); a real-time attack monitoring dashboard; a REST API for programmatic access; and an MCP server for AI tool integration.

// Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • ▸ Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • ▸ Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys
  • ▸ Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • ▸ Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

// Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may NOT:

  • ▸ Deploy honeypots on networks you do not own or have authorization to monitor
  • ▸ Use threat intelligence data to conduct attacks, harassment, or any illegal activity
  • ▸ Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure
  • ▸ Redistribute or resell threat intelligence data commercially without written permission
  • ▸ Use the Service to create false or misleading threat reports
  • ▸ Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • ▸ Use automated means to scrape or extract data beyond API rate limits

// Honeypot Deployment

When deploying honeypot agents, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • ▸ You are solely responsible for compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
  • ▸ You will only deploy agents on infrastructure you own or have explicit authorization to use
  • ▸ Honeypot data collected by your agents is transmitted to and stored on the threat.gg platform
  • ▸ You are responsible for any network or security implications of running honeypot services

// Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, documentation, and branding, is owned by threat.gg and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights. Threat intelligence data generated by your honeypot deployments is jointly owned — you retain rights to your data, and we retain rights to use aggregate, anonymized data for platform improvement and community benefit.

// API & Rate Limits

Access to the threat.gg API is subject to rate limits and usage quotas that may vary by account tier. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access for accounts that exceed limits or engage in abusive patterns. API keys are confidential — you are responsible for keeping them secure and must not share them publicly.

// Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

// Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THREAT INTELLIGENCE DATA IS COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR CURRENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC SECURITY REQUIREMENTS.

// Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THREAT.GG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

// Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability and intellectual property) will survive.

// Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via email.

// Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
